MULTIPLE PERSONALITY AS SEQUEL TO HYPERVENTILATION SYNDROME

Hyperventilation syndrome apparently triggered dissociative reactions in two patients. Overbreathing under the examiner's direction reproduced dissociative reactions similar to those which occurred spontaneously. A rudimentary form of multiple personality was demonstrated in each case.
